We’ve spent the last two videos in our real estate investing series on learning how to develop a portfolio of properties and real estate investment trusts (REITs). I love REITs for their ease of investment, low cost and professional property management but have always been disappointed in one limitation.
There are often so many properties held in a REIT that it’s impossible for a regular investor to keep track. It’s one of the reasons why I love the new online REITs, smaller funds of quality real estate investments, that offer the benefits of listed REITs but without the disadvantages.
In this video, I’m sharing the three keys to analyze real estate investments that I learned while working as a commercial property analyst. You’ll learn exactly what analysts look for when looking at individual properties and how they fit together in a REIT for higher returns and less risk.
- The importance of real estate investment analysis when investing in REITs
- How to analyze tenancy in commercial real estate investments to project cash flow
- How to check real estate investment numbers to make sure they make sense and can provide a solid return
- How to analyze the price return and cash flow on commercial real estate investments and REITs
