This may seem like a basic investing video but I guarantee most investors have the wrong impression of bonds and how much to invest. Bonds aren’t just for retirees and people that can’t stand the roller-coaster of stocks. EVERYONE needs some bonds in their portfolio but too much and it will kill your returns.

We’ll start with a step-by-step to what are stocks and bonds. I’ll share the pros and cons of each and why you should be investing in both. Bonds aren’t just that anti-stocks investment but safety that will protect your money and give you the opportunity to invest in stocks at a discount. Bonds also give you consistent cash flow that can be reinvested or used to pay the bills.
Then after sharing how to invest in stocks and bonds, I’ll reveal exactly how much to invest in both at every age of your life. This is something most investors just don’t understand until they see their portfolio wiped out from a stock market crash just before they planned on retiring. The amount you invest in bonds versus stocks needs to change as you get older and as the need for safety becomes a bigger factor.
